Childers Arb was named communications manager for GM's Shanghai, China, operations in 1996, and was promoted to director GM China Communications in September 1998. She was appointed director of GM's global Powertrain Group upon her return to the US in 1999, and in 2001, was named vice president of Saturn Corporate Communications. Childers Arb holds a bachelor of arts from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

Gillian Zucker was named the fourth President of California Speedway on June 23, 2005, making her the first female president of a track hosting a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event.
