2004 AWARD RECIPIENTS
 
Linda Miller,
Manufacturing Director
Ford Motor Company

Ms. Miller was named Manufacturing Director, Small V6 Engine and Casting & Forging Operations,

Powertrain Operations, in December, 2001. During this time, she has led the formation of an aluminum joint venture and has responsibility for 9 Manufacturing Plants. Ms. Miller has held a variety of manufacturing and strategic positions during her career. She was the first woman to become a Plant Manager in the history of Ford Motor Company. While Manager of the Dearborn Engine and Fuel Tank Plant, the plant became the first of the Company’s North American facilities to achieve the prestigious Total Quality Excellence Award. Ms. Miller has also held positions as the Chair of the Advisory Board for the University of Detroit-Mercy and a Foundation Board member for Truman State University.


 
 
Kathleen Sims,
President
Coeur d’Alene Honda & Kia


Ms. Sims is co-owner and general manager of Coeur d’Alene Honda and Kia, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Ms. Sims is a member of the National Automobile Dealers Association’s board of directors. Elected
in 1998, she was elected and became one of the two first women in 75 years to join the NADA Board
of Directors. Ms. Sims currently serves on the Association’s Convention, Government Relations,
Public Affairs and Regulatory Affairs committees and is a member of the Idaho Auto Dealers
Association’s board of directors. Sims is also a state legislative director for the American International Automobile
Dealers Association (AIADA), from which she received its Top Gun Award in 1995.
 
 

Marjorie Staten,
Executive Director
GM Minority Dealers Association

Ms. Staten currently serves as the Executive Director of the General Motors Minority Dealers

Association (GMMDA). She oversees the day-to-day operation of the association, which represents
over 200 General Motors Minority-owned dealerships across the country. She is actively involved in
developing and implementing GMMDA’s strategic action plans, and thus serves as liaison with
senior automotive manufacturer executives at General Motors Corporation.
