Shinae Chun, U.S. Women’s Bureau Director
To speak at the International Annual Meeting of the
Women's Automotive Association International (WAAI)

Detroit, MI, June 26, 2003 – The WAAI will welcome Director Shinae Chun as its keynote luncheon speaker at their first International Annual Meeting.

Director Chun is the 15th Director of the Women's Bureau. Under the direction of Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao, Ms. Chun is the highest-ranking Korean American in the Bush administration, and heads the only Federal agency charged with advocating on behalf of women in the workforce. The Women's Bureau was created by Congress in 1920 with a mandate to "promote the welfare of wage-earning women." (...more)

Following Ms. Chun’s address, the WAAI will host its annual business meeting.

Topics will include:

a) 2003-2004 Board of Directors, Trustees, and Advisors,
b) 2002 annual report,
c) 2003 year-to-date review, and d) goals and objectives for the future.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 24, at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle, Detroit, MI.

Break
Annual Business Meeting @ 1:30 p.m.

Tickets are $35 for members, $ 45 for non-members, and $320 for a Table Sponsor (eight seats). Advance purchase is suggested.
